Essay Writing Tips you must know in order to get the best results with your efforts.

“The essays are windows into who you are as a person, your heart”
An essay is a short piece of writing on a topic and generally presents the author’s point of view on the matter. It is an organized collection of ideas. It could be based upon any real experience or imaginary idea of the author. It is the presentation of your outlook on the topic that is the focus of the essay.

You should take time for serious self-reflection by focusing on your strengths, weaknesses, and aspirations. Try to look at yourself objectively and contemplate what you’d be bringing to a business school and where B-school might help you improve. Also, reflect on the career you’d like to create for yourself after the MBA and how you could realistically achieve such goals.

Essays are written in a generic way, which focus too much on current work experience. This is not a job application, so try to avoid producing what looks like a resume or CV in essay form.
In many topics, you will be required to take a side on a specific issue in order to construct a persuasive essay or an argument so, you will need to know how to take a strong stance on a subject at some point. There is an art to take aside. You have to be a little crafty. To really persuade someone in an argument essay, you have to know a little about each side and pick the one you can argue most effectively.

Keeping it real is the golden rule of application essay writing. You need to approach the essays with a certain level of integrity and sincerity. What the adcom wants to do is learn about the applicant, so if you try to hide, then on some level you’re failing. You must recognize yourself in your work and that you must be the one to write the essays, even if others look them over for you or give you advice on how to improve them.

Once you have come up with various points for each side of your issue, read over the results to determine which side is strongest, and which you could argue most effectively. Decide which side has the points that you could back up with examples like statistics, expert opinions, anecdotes, observations, precedence, consequence, etc.

Given that the business world does not usually demand essay writing or personal reflection. Keep a personal journal or diary to practice writing about yourself, as well as to read both business and non-business-oriented articles.

Including your personality in your essays also will help members of the admissions committee see how you can play a role in creating diversity in the class that they are assembling.

Essay writing is something that you cannot improve overnight. It has to be in your habit. For developing a habit of essay writing, you need to practice it on day to day basis. Writing practice is very important, but developing a habit of analysis is much more important.
