Update (16 October 2026): PMI has retired the DASM certification (Disciplined Agile Scrum Master). It no longer appears among PMI’s available certifications, and new candidates cannot earn it. Gururo has stopped selling its DASM practice exams; students who already enrolled keep full access.
If you were planning to earn the DASM, this page explains what the retirement means and which certification to consider instead.
What the retirement means
- New candidates: you can no longer apply for or take the DASM exam. Check PMI’s certifications page for the current list.
- Existing holders: check your credential status in your myPMI account or PMI’s online certification registry, and contact PMI customer care with questions about renewal.
- Gururo students: if you bought the Gururo DASM practice exams, they remain in your account under My Courses.
Alternatives to the DASM certification
For agile practitioners, the most widely recognised PMI credential is the PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP)®. It covers Scrum, Kanban, Lean, XP and hybrid approaches across four domains: Mindset, Leadership, Product and Delivery. The exam has 120 questions in 180 minutes.
- Read our guide to the best PMI-ACP practice tests.
- See the Gururo PMI-ACP Mock Exam Simulator: 12 full-length tests and 1,440 questions with lifetime access.
- Preparing for more than one PMI exam? The PMI Practice Tests Bundle covers nine PMI certifications.
