If the student enrols with Gururo, Student will get two months of free extension. However, if the student cannot complete the course within the stipulated timelines, then the student must pay the monthly fee to IU university to complete the course.
What do I need to do to get the LSBU degree?
If you go via Gururo, you will not have to pay an additional fee of EUR 1500 for attaining the LSBU degree. To opt for an LSBU degree, the student must select the option in the LMS post-enrollment.

When can a student schedule the exam?
If you study online, once you meet the exam requirements of a given course (e.g. passing non-graded self-tests), you can register for an exam at any time. Appointments are available 24/7, 365 days a year.
What is the duration of the exams?
The duration is determined by the ECTS points earned through the course:
- A 5 ECTS course means the exam is 90 minutes long.
- A 10 ECTS course means the exam is 180 minutes long.
How are exams structured?
The structure of the final exam depends on the course type and reflects the content of the course. In standard courses, the exam usually consists of approx. 50% open/ semi-open questions and 50% closed questions (e.g. multiple-choice, yes-no, matching questions). Other courses may require a different exam type such as case study, project-specific presentation, written assignment etc.

IELTS is not mandatory for admission into the International University Of Applied Sciences. IU university doesn’t care about the IELTS score. However, You need to prove your English skills which can be done by Medium of Instruction (MOI) letter.

You will need around 3000 euros (INR 2,50,000) per semester to cover your living expenses in Germany.
How much can an international student earn in Germany per hour?
Germany has strict minimum wage law that requires employers to pay a minimum of 9.60 (INR 850) euros an hour, irrespective of the job type. On average, students earn between 10 to 25 euros (INR 850 to INR 2200) an hour and a minimum of 450 euros (INR 38,000) a month. Students pursuing higher education with previous work experience can also make significantly higher.
The student can work up to 20 hours per week while studying. You’ll be required to pay taxes if exceeded, which could negatively impact your studies. However, you can continue to do freelancing or work for any organisation outside Germany.
International students from outside the EU/EEA are allowed to work 120 full days or 240 half days per year

Can I change my specialisation or course after I enrol at IU university?
You can change your course or specialisation within 30 days of your enrolment at IU university. After 30 days, any change requests will be reviewed case-to-case basis and will depend on factors like percentage of completion, subject similarities etc.

IU works together with a translation agency called M21 Global. If you want to use their translation service, please submit your Online Application and diploma for a first Admission review. Also, upload/send us your translation consent form – available here.
If you already have sworn translations of your application documents, you should mail IU University a certified paper copy (s) of the sworn translation (s) via post.
Can the documents be sent digitally?
If your diploma has a digital signature, which IU University can verify online, they can accept it, and you don’t have to send a certified copy via post.
You can also ask your university/school to send the diploma and transcripts directly from their official email address to IU university email address admission-online@iu.org.
What is the deadline to send the certified hard copy documents via post to IU University?
Certified paper copies should reach IU university within three months after starting your studies.
Failure to provide certified paper copies on time may result in de-registration.
