PMP Certification candidates in Saudi Arabia have the flexibility to reschedule or cancel their exam up to two calendar days before the scheduled exam appointment. However, due to limited seating capacity at test centres, rescheduling or cancelling the exam within certain time frames may incur fees. The policy is outlined below:
Within 30 Days of Your Appointment:
- Rescheduling or cancelling the exam within 30 days of a scheduled appointment will result in a US$70 fee. This fee will appear on your credit card statement if you reschedule or cancel online. The fee is charged by the test vendor to ensure greater seating availability at test centres. Candidates who wait until the last minute to reschedule or cancel their exams are taking up seats that could have been used by others.
- Note: The 30-day period does not include the day of the exam appointment. For example, if your exam is scheduled for May 5, you must reschedule or cancel by April 4 to avoid the fee.
Within Two Days of Your Appointment:
- If you attempt to reschedule or cancel within two calendar days of your exam appointment, you will be unable to cancel your appointment and will forfeit the entire exam fee. At this point, you will not be able to reschedule your appointment, and you will need to pay the associated re-examination fees to schedule a new exam.
Extenuating Circumstances:
In the case of a personal emergency that causes you to reschedule or cancel your exam within 30 days of the appointment, or if you miss a scheduled exam appointment, PMI may consider a refund of the rescheduling fee. Extenuating circumstances can include:
- Medical Emergency
- Military Deployment
- Death in the Immediate Family
- Illness in the Immediate Family
- Natural Disaster
PMI will evaluate these situations on a case-by-case basis to determine if a refund is appropriate.
Who can sign copies of my project experience documents?
For the PMP Certification in Saudi Arabia, your project experience documents must be signed by a verifying supervisor or manager. What is the PMI audit process?
By submitting an application, candidates for the PMP Certification in Saudi Arabia agree to comply with the terms of PMI’s audit process. If your application is selected for an audit, PMI will notify you via email before you pay the certification fee. During the audit process, you will need to submit the following documents:
- A copy of your diploma or its global equivalent.
- Signatures from your supervisor(s) or manager(s) verifying the project(s) listed in the experience section of your application.
- Copies of certificates and/or letters from the training institute(s) for each course that met the required project management education hours. This includes documentation from Gururo’s PMP training in Saudi Arabia.
Candidates have 90 days to submit the requested documents. Once the documentation is provided, PMI typically completes the audit process within five to seven business days.

If you need to claim a refund for the PMP Certification exam in Saudi Arabia, you must request it with PMI® at least 30 days before the exam eligibility expiry date. PMI® will retain a processing fee of US$100 if the applicant has not scheduled or taken the exam. This refund policy ensures that PMI can manage exam scheduling efficiently while accommodating candidates’ needs.
